Louise has exhibited widely in the Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

The installation work 'Teething Room' was purchased by the Arts Council Collection of England in 1999. She has been involved in curation, exhibition organisation and consultation, ever since initiating STATION based on Bristol's docks of which she is Director. It was opened in 2000 by Tacita Dean and artists who have done projects there include Phyllida Barlow, Louis Nixon, and Michael Snow.

 

Louise teaches in Site Based Practice and Photography at Plymouth University and has been visiting lecturer on the Sculpture and M.A. Programmes at the Cardiff School of Art & Design since 1993.

 

She currently also works as a consultant for Arts Council England and Artsmatrix, and is commissioned to produce a new public art work for Crest Nicholson.

 

Louise Short is a member of the Centre for Fine Art Research (http://www.wirad.ac.uk/research-themes/centre-for-fine-art/) part of the Fine Art and Ceramics theme within WIRAD.
