'My experience of the MA course was really transforming. It considerably expanded my understanding of contemporary art, helping me to develop my knowledge of ideas at the forefront of developments within the field and supporting my experiments with these . I now feel much more confident about the my arts career and am committed to pursuing further study and research around contemporary art in the Middle East . The effort and dedication of particular course tutors made this challenging journey a joy.'
Hanadi Traifeh - Graduate 2008

'The practice element of the course incorporated a series of workshops designed to prepare me for life as a professional artist which have proved invaluable following the completion of the course. Alongside which presentations of both individual and group work in progress, supported by staff led and group critique, helped me to review and define my practice further as well as prepare for my final exhibition. The theoretical aspect of the course afforded me the opportunity to become absorbed in an area of feminist discourse that I had little previous knowledge of and which is now being taken forward into doctoral study.
Throughout the MA Fine Art programme I was able to rely on the support of lecturers, each of whom were highly experienced professionally and academically, for guidance. As a consequence of their belief in me I was able to take the risk of stepping outside of the familiar and following paths I had never before envisaged, emerging from the experience a more confident and mature practitioner.'
